What we would like to offer you is information about our weekly progam-meetings (usually on Tuesday) as well as about who we are personally and ideologically. You will also find links to related groups and themes.
In addition we are a subscribing member of ILGA and other les-bi-gay and transgender groups in Austria and Europe. Feel free to contact us with any related questions via e-mail, telephone or the old snail-mail!

Who we are:
Christoph, Andreas, Walter and Johannes
are members of the current committee;
Andreas Raschke, is responsible for International matters and contacts. We very much appreciate these
international contacts and the efforts that Andreas has put into maintaining
them.
Homosexuelle und Glaube (HUG) - ökumenische Arbeitsgruppe Wien; is a group of people made up of lesbians, gays, transgenders or hetero-bi-sexuals who are interested in themes about their own faith and spritituality or who are sometimes struggling with the opinion of their churches on those matters.
Our members/visitors also come to us for discussions or to simply make contact with new friends.
The group is interdenominational and you certainly don't have to be a practising member of a church to join us. We have - of course - a mainly christian tradition but everyone of all beliefs worldwide is welcome.
Our group was founded in 1990 mainly inspired by the german HUK. Homosexuelle und Kirche ( Homosexuals and Church) Over the last twelve years it has grown and developed in many different ways. Among our highlights have been the hosting of the International Christian Lesbian and Gay Groups Conference and various events at the 2001 EUROPEAN GAY PRIDE MONTH. Another milestone in our history was the important renaming in 2001 of the group from HUK (Homosexuals and Churches) to HUG (Homosexuals and "faith") in order to broaden our spiritual horizons.
